Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a Big Hit on Hutterite Colony

WOKE RIVER COLONY, SD

A young Hutterite woman at Woke River Colony in South Dakota had some explaining to do after dozens of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posters were found prominently displayed on her bedroom walls this week.

“What can I say? I’m a big fan. At first the elders were like, ‘Well, Miss Mandel, who is this woman on your wall with her long uncovered hair?'” explained Mandel, 19. “However, once I told them all about AOC they were on board!”

Mandel explained to the elders that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist politics closely aligned with the biblical values of the Hutterites.

“All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they shared with anyone who was in need,” said Mandel, quoting the Book of Acts. “That’s her philosophy, and it’s ours as well.”

After a heated meeting the elders agreed to let Miss Mandel keep the posters up and some of them even ordered AOC T-shirts themselves.

“Just wait until they hear what Alexandria thinks about the patriarchy!” said Mandel. “But I think I’ll save that for the next meeting.”
